Appointment:
- On 1st March 2015, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader Mufti Mohammad Sayeed took oath as new Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
- Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra.
- BJP leader Nirmal Singh sworned in as Deputy Chief Minister.
- Govt formed in J&K is by the alliance of BJP and PDP.
- Mr Mufti Mohammad Sayeed was CM of state earlier in 2002 that too by a alliance with congress for three years.
- On 28th February 2015, Roger Federer won Dubai title by defeating Novak Djokovic. Its was seventh time Federer won this title.(Roger Federer is a Swiss professional tennis player who is currently ranked world No. 2 by the Association of Tennis Professionals.)
- Durban to host 2022 Commonwealth Games, South Africa has proposed a 12-day Games starting from July 18, birthday of late president Nelson Mandela.(Glasgow hosted the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2018 edition is scheduled for the Australian Gold Coast.)
- Pakistan have topped the chart of most searched teams playing in the ongoing ICC World Cup despite not performing well, a latest study by Google.
- Jagmohan Dalmiya is set to return as president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).He was the only nominee for the top job as the deadline ended on Sunday march 1st, 2015 evening.
- Union Government blocked private email network in government work as per E-mail Policy of Government of India and Policy on use of Information Technology resources of Government of India.(Policy was notified on 18th February 2015.)
