The Central Government has appointed Industry Secretary Amitabh Kant as the new
Chief Executive Officer of NITI Aayog.
Sailesh appointed as the Registrar General and Census
Commissioner of India

Senior IAS officer Sailesh was appointed as the Registrar General and Census
Commissioner of India, replacing C Chandramouli.
2.
Sailesh is a 1985 batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya Cadre.
3.
He will serve in the post till July 28, 2017 as per the Department of Personnel
and Training's order.

The Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner, Ministry of Home
Affairs is responsible for conducting the decennial Census.
Vikas Thapar appointed as Vice President of Micromax

Indian smartphone company Micromax has appointed Vikas Thapar as vice-president
for finance.

Prior to this appointment, Thapar was executive director at Avocado Management
Services and has also worked with One97 Communications (PayTm), Bharti Airtel

ADB approves loans worth $27.15 bn in 2015

In 2015, the Asian Development Bank's loan approvals touched a record high of
$27.15 billion, a 19% increase vis-à-vis 2014, as per the bank's recent data
release.

During the year, approval of loans and grants towards government (sovereign) as
well as private sector hit a record $16.58 billion, a 23% rise from 2014. While
government approvals increased by 21% to $13.95 billion, private sector or
non-sovereign approvals rose to $2.63 billion.

between the Airports Authority of India and the Singapore Cooperation
Enterprise.
