Rajasthan Panchayati Raj (amendment) Bill, 2015, with this bill Rajasthan
became the first State in the country to fix a minimum educational qualification
for contesting elections to the Panchayati Raj Institutions.
IMF approved financial

Government approved Airborne

The government today sanctioned a Rs
5,113 crore project to develop a next generation Airborne Warning and Control
System (AWACS), which will act as a 360degree 'Eye in the Sky', and also
approved purchase of two Airbus A330 aircraft for the same.
Indo American biology
professor selected for prestigious U.S.presidential award
An Indian-American biology professor
is among 15 scientists, who have been selected for a prestigious U.S.
presidential award for excellence in the field of science, mathematics and
engineering. Murty S Kambhampati, a professor of biology at Southern University
at New Orleans will receive the award at a White House ceremony later this
year.
Russia to join Asian
