Russian President Vladimir Putin has emerged the winner of this year's Time 100 readers' poll of most influential people in the world.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal named also included in the list of  100 most influential people in the world.

BSF launches countrywide tele-medicine network for troops

BSF has launched an ambitious satellite-based tele-medicine programme to address medical and health-related problems of its troops deployed in far-flung frontier areas and difficult regions. Tele-medicine or 'e-medicine' facility will be operated and hosted from the Kadamtala-based composite hospital of the force in Siliguri in West Bengal.

Turkey launches construction of first nuclear power plant

Turkey has launched the construction of its first nuclear power plant station, in Akkuyu in Mersin province on the shores of the Mediterranean. It is the first of three nuclear power plants Turkey currently plans to build to reduce its dependence on importing energy from exporters like Russia and Iran.

Axis Bank ties up with Kochi Metro for debit card-cum-ticket
Kochi Metro Rail Limited has tied up with Axis Bank for an automated fare collection system (AFC) for the metro. The bank will issue co-branded debit cards to the users of the Kochi Metro system.

Thermal Plant Commissioned in Chhattisgarh
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) commissioned 600 MW thermal unit at Dhabra in Janjgir Champa District of Chhattisgarh for the Dainik Bhaskar Power Limited. This is the second unit of 2 × 600 MW power project of BHEL. In 2014, BHEL employed the first 600 MW Unit.

Novelist Gunter Grass died in Luebeck

Nobel laureate German novelist Gunter Grass died in Luebeck, Germany at the age of 87. He was a graphic artist, sculptor, playwright, illustrator, novelist and poet. In Year 1999 Nobel Prize in the field of Literature.

Vividh Bharati Service of Delhi on FM Mode inaugrated

Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Arun Jaitley inaugurated the Vividh Bharati Service of Delhi on FM Mode. The service will be available on 100.1 Mh frequency.
