South Korea ratified free trade agreement (FTA) with China
South Korea has ratified a free trade agreement (FTA) with China that would remove most tariffs between Asia’s largest and fourth-largest economies. The pact, signed in June, was passed by parliament with a 196-33 majority, although it still needs China’s ratification in order to take effect. The Seoul government has promised to provide about one trillion won (USD 865 million) in direct financial support for farmers and fishermen who argue that their livelihoods will be severely affected by the deal.

Interceptor boat ICGS C-422 commissioned into Indian Coast Guard service
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) has commissioned an interceptor boat (ICGS C-422) at the Karaikal port. This will enhance the port’s shallow water operational capability along the South Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coast. Speaker of the Puducherry Assembly V. Sabapathy commissioned ICGS C-422 with full military honours in the presence of Inspector-General S.P. Sharma, Commander, Coast Guard Region (East), Deputy Inspector-General S.C. Tyagi and Karaikal Station Commandant S.N.M. Patnaik.

Mahesh Gupta takes over as PHDCCI President
Mahesh Gupta has joined as the new President of PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI). Gupta, is currently Chairman of Kent RO Systems Ltd, which is a leading player in water purifier industry.
He is a Mechanical Engineering Graduate from IIT Kanpur (1975) and Post Graduate in Petroleum Conservation from IIP, Dehradun. He has succeeds Alok Shriram who demited office as PHDCCI President on Friday.

ICC suspended West Indies spinner Sunil Narine for illegal bowling action
International Cricket Council (ICC) on 29 November 2015 suspended West Indies off-spinner Sunil Narine from bowling in international cricket with immediate effect. The ICC took a decision after an independent assessment found his bowling action to be illegal.

P V Sindhu bags gold at the Macau Open Grand Prix
P V Sindhu two-time champion bagged her third title and completed a hat-trick after winning the gold at the women's singles title  and USD 120,000 prize, at the Macau Open. She won against the sixth seed, Japan's Minatsu Mitani in a 21-9, 21-23, 21-14 win which lasted for an hour and six minutes.

Anil khanna re-elected as president of Asian tennis federation
Anil Khanna was re-elected as the President of Asian Tennis Federation for four years in the Annual General Meeting held in Colombo, Sri Lanka. At present, he is the President of the All India Tennis Association.

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg won 2015 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg on 29 November 2015 won the 2015 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix title at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, UAE. To win the title, the German driver defeated the defending champion and his team mate Lewis Hamilton of the UK.
