(TAPI) project has been finally inaugurated after 25 years of the
inception of the project.

(TPCL).
Gas
Share:
Gas
supply to Pakistan via TAPI project will begin in 2019. On completion Pakistan
and India will get over 1.3 billion cubic feet per day of gas from TAPI while
Afghanistan will get 0.5 billion cubic feet.
Funding
and cost of Project:
The
estimated construction cost of the project is 10 billion US dollars and it is funded
by Asian Development Bank.
Security:
Establishment
of an inter-government joint security task force (JSTF) has been recommended to
serve as the nucleus of the safety of the pipeline by a security consultant has
recommended.
TAPI
gas pipeline route:
It
start from the Galkynysh gas field in Afghanistan and will be constructed
alongside the Kandahar–Herat Highway in western Afghanistan then via Quetta and
Multan in Pakistan.
The
final destination of the pipeline will be the Fazilka (India) near the border
between Pakistan and India.
