Shree Singaji Thermal Power Plant is a coal-fired project located in Khandwa in Madhya Pradesh.
The government on 4th march approved four-laning of six highways, spread across five states, including Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh, having a total length of 712 km at a cost of Rs 12,646 crore.
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday, has approved four-laning of two projects in the Ghaghra Bridge-Varanasi stretch in Uttar Pradesh with a total cost of Rs 2,295 crore.
The three packages approved for the Rewa-Katni-Jabalpur stretch in Madhya Pradesh would cost Rs 3,101 crore.
Besides, Jabalpur-Lakhnadon stretch of the state would be four-laned for a cost of Rs 1,244 crore, official statement said.
In Odisha, Baharagora-Singhara stretch would be developed into four-lanes for Rs 1,283 crore.
The 39-km stretch connecting Parwanoo and Shimla on the National Highways 22 would also be developed into four-lanes for Rs 1,247 crore.
Two packages on the Ghoshpukur-Salasbari stretch in West Bengal would also be developed at a total cost of Rs 3,476 crore.
All projects would be developed through Engineering, Procurement and Construction mode under the National Highways Development Project, it said.

PDS kerosene, LPG subsidy scheme extended till March 2015
The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) on Wednesday approved extension of the PDS Kerosene and Domestic LPG Subsidy Scheme and Freight Subsidy (for far-flung areas) Scheme for a further period of one year.
Under the scheme, Government provides a subsidy of Rs 22.58 per 14.2 kg LPG cylinder and Rs 0.82 per litre on PDS kerosene.
Besides, freight subsidy was also being provided to PDS kerosene and domestic LPG consumers in far-flung areas under the Freight Subsidy (for far-flung areas) Scheme, 2002.
These two schemes ended on 31st March 2014 and have now been extended till 31st March 2015, an official statement said on Wednesday.

The Coal Mines (Special Provisions) Bill, 2015 which provides for the auction and allocation of coal mines through a bidding process has been passed in the Lok Sabha.
The bill to replace an ordinance brought to overcome the uncertainty in the coal sector after the Supreme Court cancelled the allocation of coal blocks was introduced in Lok Sabha on Monday.
