NTPC Green Energy Partners with MAHAPREIT for 10 GW Renewable Energy Projects Ahead of IPO
NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has taken a significant step toward expanding its renewable energy portfolio by partnering with MAHAPREIT to develop 10 GW of renewable energy parks in India. This joint venture aims to boost green energy production, with a particular focus on Maharashtra and other key states across the country.
The collaboration between NGEL and MAHAPREIT is a pivotal part of India's energy transition strategy. As the demand for sustainable energy rises, this joint venture will play a critical role in helping India achieve its ambitious renewable energy targets. The 10 GW capacity will be developed through solar and wind energy projects, contributing to India’s goal of reaching 60 GW of renewable capacity by NTPC.
This joint venture also comes ahead of NTPC Green Energy Limited's anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO), with a planned value of ₹10,000 crore. The company has already filed its draft prospectus with SEBI, signaling strong investor interest in the green energy sector.
By focusing on large-scale projects and public investment, NGEL is positioned to be a leader in India’s clean energy future.
